DDC CONDUCTED SITE INSPECTION

ARA---------------------------Gunjan Singh, the Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) of Bhojpur, conducted a site inspection of the land allotted to flood victims from Jawainiya village within the Bilauti Panchayat of Shahpur Block, Bhojpur district. It is pertinent to note that land has been allocated in Bilauti Panchayat to provide housing for residents of Jawainiya village who were displaced due to erosion caused by the River Ganges. To date, the district administration has disbursed financial assistance amounting to ₹1.20 lakh per family to 165 affected families as compensation for housing damage. Additionally, land allotment certificates (*parchas*) have been issued to 74 landless families. Furthermore, approval has been granted for the construction of a township on the designated land within Bilauti Panchayat, thereby paving the way for the permanent rehabilitation of the erosion-affected families from Jawainiya village. Deputy Development Commissioner Gunjan Singh inspected the allotted land in Bilauti Panchayat to ascertain the actual ground reality of the situation. Present on this occasion were Deputy Development Commissioner Gunjan Singh, DRDA Director Lok Prakash, Block Development Officer Shatrunjay Kumar Singh, Circle Officer Anand Prakash, along with a large number of beneficiaries and local residents.
