BUXAR--------------------------Allegations of blocking nominations heated up the JDU organizational election, sparking clashes between Ashok Yadav's supporters and other factions, raising questions about fairness, and increasing tensions due to clashes and police use of force.

A massive commotion and scuffle erupted at Goyal Dharamshala in Buxar city on Sunday during the organizational election for the Janata Dal (United) district president post. As soon as the election process began, several clashes broke out between supporters of outgoing district president Ashok Yadav and those of other contenders. When the situation escalated, the police had to use mild force.

According to reports, the atmosphere became tense when district president contenders Raviraj, Raghavendra Ujjain, Rajkumar Sharma, and other potential candidates were not allowed to enter the election site. It is alleged that these contenders were prevented from filing their nominations, and some were detained at the police station. This caused widespread resentment among party workers.

Contenders and their supporters have raised serious questions about the fairness of the election process. They allege that the police, at the behest of outgoing district president Ashok Yadav, prevented other candidates from participating. However, no official statement has been issued by the administration in this regard.

It is reported that Ashok Yadav has been the district president of the JDU in Buxar for several years. The controversy has deepened after a viral video emerged showing other candidates being prevented from filing their nomination papers on the day of the organizational elections.

Activists say that such incidents occurring in the presence of the administration are worrying. Meanwhile, the opposition group has questioned how fair elections will be ensured under such circumstances when voting is scheduled to take place today. Following the incident, police deployment has been increased at the Goyal Dharamshala complex, and the situation is being monitored. Discussion has intensified in political circles regarding the matter.
