AN AWARDEE OF Rs. 50,000 ARRESTED

BUXAR-----------------------------Police have achieved a major success by arresting a fugitive accused carrying a reward of 50,000 rupees in Chhattisgarh, a murder case that occurred in the district in 2023. This action was carried out by a special team formed under the leadership of Dumraon Sub-Divisional Police Officer Polast Kumar.

According to information, Pradeep Kumar Singh and his elder brother, Rambachan Yadav, were seriously injured in a fight over a land dispute. Rambachan Yadav died during treatment. In this regard, Case No. 187/23, dated 07.06.2023, was registered at Tilak Rai's Hata Police Station. Ramavatar Yadav, Ramji Yadav, Dhurran Yadav alias Jaiprakash Yadav, Omprakash Yadav, and others were found to be involved in the case.

Given the seriousness of the case, a special team was formed under the leadership of Dumraon Sub-Divisional Police Officer Polast Kumar on the instructions of Superintendent of Police Shubham Arya. Earlier, two accused in this case, Ramji Yadav and Ramavatar Yadav, were arrested and sent to jail.

In the same sequence, on 27 February 2026, during a raid based on secret information and technical evidence, absconding accused Dhurran Yadav alias Jaiprakash Yadav (father- Ramavatar Yadav, resident- Tawkal Rai's Dera, Police Station- Tilak Rai's Hata, District- Buxar) carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 was duly arrested from Chhattisgarh. The accused had been continuously changing his hideout for a long time to evade the police.

A case has been registered against the arrested accused in Tilak Rai's Hata Police Station Case No. 187/23 under sections 341, 323, 307, 337, 338, 302 (changed) and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

DIU Buxar in-charge Sudhir Kumar, Sub-Inspector Manglesh Kumar Madhukar, Sub-Inspector Chandan Kumar, Assistant Sub-Inspector Raju Kumar (Tilak Rai Ke Hata Police Station), along with other police personnel, played a key role in this operation. Police officials stated that raids are being conducted continuously to apprehend the other absconding accused in the case, and they too will be arrested soon.
