ARA--------------------------Political activity has intensified in the Shahpur Nagar Panchayat of Bhojpur district. With an eye on the upcoming 2027 elections, youth leader and prospective candidate Jitendra Singh—popularly known as Jinar—has ramped up his engagement. He has announced his intentions via digital media, aiming to strengthen his public support and vote bank while deepening his connection with the electorate.
In an exclusive conversation with the 'Khabrein Aapki' team, Jitendra Singh raised serious questions regarding the functioning of the current Nagar Panchayat administration. He stated unequivocally that defeating his opponents in the upcoming election is the goal.
Accusing the municipal office of corruption, Jitendra Singh remarked that discussions there currently revolve around kickbacks rather than development. Citing the annual budget, he questioned why the utilization of funds exceeding half a billion rupees is not visible on the ground. Describing the situation across Wards 1 through 11, he stated that the entire town is grappling with a mountain of problems.
Exposing the reality behind the government-organized 'support camps,' he claimed that the general public is afraid to visit the municipal office. Citing an example from a previous camp, he noted that while only one person had actually arrived, the records showed the attendance of three individuals—a discrepancy that casts doubt on the municipal administration's transparency. He also recalled a past incident where the police raided the municipal office following a tip-off regarding alcohol; had the CCTV footage been examined then, the truth would have been revealed. Regrettably, that footage has since been deleted.
Rallying his supporters, Jitendra Singh pledged that he would no longer tolerate any form of unethical activity. He assured the public that they need not fear, as he stands firmly with them. Criticizing the sanitation system, he declared that mere paper formalities would no longer suffice; actual cleanliness work must be executed on the ground. They stated that if there is no improvement in the city's sanitation and other civic arrangements within a month, they will be compelled to launch an agitation—ranging from street protests to raising the issue in the House.
