BUXAR----------------------------Buxar police have cracked the murder case of Santosh Singh from Amirpur’s Kushwaha Tola under Vasudeva police station, detaining six to seven suspects for questioning, with key leads emerging. The breakthrough comes days after the contractor was gunned down near a Coca-Cola plant. On May 25, 2025, Santosh Singh, also referred to as Santosh Mahato, was shot dead around 4 a.m. while stepping out for his morning routine near the Coca-Cola bottling plant in Amirpur Tola. Assailants fired a bullet at close range into his head, killing him instantly. Around 6 a.m., villagers spotted his blood-soaked body and alerted his family and police. Santosh’s wife filed an FIR against unknown attackers, prompting an immediate investigation. Police sources revealed that six to seven suspects are in custody, yielding significant clues. Buxar SP Shubham Arya confirmed the breakthrough, stating, “The case has been cracked, with arrests made from the shooter to the conspirators. A press conference around noon will disclose their names as questioning continues.” The motive, linked to a business rivalry over PepsiCo plant contracts, involved former Zila Parishad member Munna Yadav and others, some of whom remain absconding.
