BUXAR-------------------------Buxar police arrested three miscreants in connectin with murder of a PepsiCo contractor Saantosh Kumar Singh though the mastermind of the gang, former District Board member and two others are absconding.
Buxar SP Shubham Arya said that a PepsiCo contractor Saantosh Kumar Singh of Amirpur Devpura (Kushwaha Tola) under Vasudeva police station was gunned down in a calculated plot over a business rivalry on May 25, 2025 near the PepsiCo bottling plant in Buxar district. The SP said that a police team was formed and the police cracked the case as early as possible. He said that the Police arrested Bhola Yadav alias Shiv Shankar Yadav son of Devashray Yadav from Amirpur, Mahendra Yadav, son of late Ramnarayan Yadav from Devpura, and Arun Yadav, son of late Ram Pravesh Yadav from Chakida. The prime conspirator, District Board member Munna Yadav, along with Upendra and Sunil, are still absconding, however, police are conducting raids to nab them. SP Arya noted, “Arun Yadav has a criminal history and has previously served jail time for murder.” The investigation, led by Dumraon SDPO Afaq Akhtar Ansari, involved a team including Dumraon Circle Inspector Srinath, Murar SHO Aman Kumar, Nawanagar SHO Nandu Kumar, Vasudeva SHO Madhubala Bharti, Sonvarsha SHO Naveen Kumar, and Dumraon DIU personnel. Using scientific methods and technical evidence, the team identified and arrested three of the six involved within five days. SP Arya explained that the murder stemmed from a fierce business rivalry. Santosh, who had grown close to PepsiCo officials, was calling the shots in supplying labor and resources, sidelining competitors like Munna Yadav, Bhola Singh, and Mahendra Singh. The trio sought to secure a stake in the plant’s contracts but was rebuffed by Santosh, who also owed Mahendra and Bhola over one lakh rupees for tractor rentals. Enraged, Munna Yadav hatched the murder plot. On May 24, the conspirators met at Munna’s house, finalizing plans to kill Santosh the next morning. Munna provided a country-made pistol and two cartridges, assigning four men to carry out the hit. The killers conducted reconnaissance from midnight, ambushing Santosh near the PepsiCo plant as he stepped out for his morning routine. They shot him at close range near his ear, killing him instantly. Upendra and Sunil were tasked with hiding the weapon and are still at large. “Raids are ongoing to apprehend the remaining fugitives, and we expect to arrest them soon,” SP Arya assured, emphasizing the police’s commitment to justice.
