RAJIV NAYAN AGRAWAL
ARA---------------------------Sahil Arora, Secretary of AISA SB College, Ara, issued a press release informing journalists that he strongly condemns the attack on journalist and YouTuber Ruchi Tiwari, social activist, and Comrade Anjali Sharma, who was a leader of Delhi University's student organization AISA and former DUSU presidential candidate, during a protest and support of the UGC Equity Rules on the Delhi University Arts Faculty campus in February 2026. Under the guise of journalism, Ruchi Tiwari not only physically targeted Anjali Sharma, but now the casteist statements she is making publicly are a black mark on the fourth pillar of democracy. While Anjali Sharma is fighting for equality and social justice on campus, the true face of Ruchi Tiwari, who portrays herself as a victim under the protection of 'godi media,' has now been exposed.
Strict legal action should be taken against the culprits based on video evidence of the attack on Anjali Sharma.
Case under the SC/ST Act: Ruchi Tiwari should be charged under appropriate sections for making casteist remarks from a public platform.
Dignity of Journalism: The Press Council of India is requested to revoke the accreditation of those who spread hatred under the guise of journalism.
