ARA--------------------------The family of the injured and local villagers were enraged after the accused arrested in the Holi firing incident in Gaura village, under the Bahoranpur police station area, were granted bail. The angry villagers set tires on fire outside the Bahoranpur police station on Saturday and shouted slogans against the police. The traffic jam lasted for nearly three hours, resulting in long lines of vehicles on both sides of the road, and traffic was completely halted.

Receiving information about the road blockage, Jagdishpur SDPO Rajesh Kumar Sharma, SDO, and Block Development Officer arrived at the scene and, after convincing the people, cleared the blockade.

It should be noted that on Wednesday night, armed miscreants, over a dispute regarding a nine-decimal piece of land, entered the door and shot Akhilesh Thakur, son of the late Shriram Thakur, a resident of Gaura village, Ward No. 8, under the Bahoranpur police station area. He was shot in the left hand.

After which, on the statement of the injured Akhilesh Thakur, an FIR was lodged against three named and three unknown persons including Ravi Ranjan Thakur, Vishal Thakur and Krishna Thakur, residents of Gaura village. After the FIR was lodged, the police took immediate action and arrested all the three named accused Ravi Ranjan Thakur, Vishal Thakur and Krishna Thakur and sent them to judicial custody. However, they got bail.

Here, Bahoranpur Police Station in-charge Vijay Kumar said that after the FIR was lodged, all the three named accused were arrested and sent to judicial custody. However, the court released all three on PR.
