ARA--------------------------The rising trends of obscenity, caste-based animosity, and substance abuse within society are deeply troubling issues. It is inevitable—and indeed, incumbent upon everyone—to raise questions regarding the inaction of the district administration.
Obscene and caste-based songs are being played openly during auspicious ceremonies, weddings, religious gatherings, and various public events; this sends a detrimental message to society and undermines social harmony.
Today, obscene songs, provocative dance performances, and acts featuring semi-nude attire are also spreading rapidly across social media platforms. Such activities set a negative example for the youth and children, thereby exerting an adverse influence on society's cultural ethos and moral values.
Banned products—such as *gutkha* and other intoxicants—are being sold openly in markets and shops. Despite the existence of clear rules and laws designed to prohibit these items, the administration has failed to take effective action. This poses a serious threat to the health and future of the youth.
The District Magistrate (DM) and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) appear incapable of taking strict measures to address these critical issues. If the administration were to act with full responsibility, it would be a simple matter to put an end to obscene songs, content that incites caste-based animosity, and the illicit trade of intoxicants.
I hereby demand that the district administration immediately ban the playing of obscene and caste-based songs during auspicious and religious ceremonies; monitor and take action against obscene content circulating on social media; and strictly enforce the ban on prohibited *gutkha* and intoxicants being sold openly in the markets.
In conclusion, I appeal to all sections of society—particularly the youth and parents—to unite and raise their voices against these social evils, in order to build a healthy, cultured, and positive society.
