PATNA-----------------------While there is public outrage over the encounter of Bharat Tiwari in Bhojpur, the state's political atmosphere has also heated up. Leaders from the BJP and NDA are questioning the police action, and a judicial inquiry into the matter has already commenced. Amidst this, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has issued a public statement on the issue for the first time.

Addressing a program marking 'Constitution Murder Day' in Patna, Samrat Chaudhary stated that his government is committed to ensuring justice for all. He noted that a judicial inquiry commission was constituted without delay regarding the Bhojpur incident.

"An incident recently occurred in Bhojpur. The Bihar government immediately took steps to constitute a judicial commission—the highest level of inquiry—to ensure justice is served. If anyone is at fault, action will be taken against them." – Samrat Chaudhary, Chief Minister, Bihar.

The Chief Minister further added, "We must ensure justice for the poor and respect for women. We are also concerned about the youth—Generation Z. Our government, along with Modi ji's government, is committed to making proper arrangements for them, covering everything from education to employment."

The judicial inquiry into the Bharat Tiwari encounter is underway. A commission team, led by retired Patna High Court Judge Vinod Kumar Sinha, visited Bilauti village on Thursday to inspect the scene of the incident. They gathered details about the event from the deceased's family members and examined documents related to the case.

Bharat Bhushan Tiwari, a resident of Bilauti village under the Shahpur police station area, died in an encounter on June 17. The police claim that Bharat was firing, forcing them to open fire in self-defense. However, his family alleges that he was shot by the police even after he had thrown away his weapon. In a viral video, Bharat is also seen throwing away a pistol.
