‘SAHYOG SHIVIR’ TO BE ORGANZIED

4-MAY-ENG 6

RAJIV NAYAN AGRAWAL

ARA-------------------------Acting on an initiative by the State Government, 'Sahyog Shivirs' (Assistance Camps) will be organized in various Panchayats across all 14 blocks of the district to address the grievances of the general public. This initiative will commence on May 19 with the organization of camps in 42 selected Panchayats across different blocks. Regarding the organization of these assistance camps, District Magistrate Tanay Sultania held a Zoom meeting with district, sub-divisional, and block-level officials from all departments. During the meeting, he provided detailed information regarding the objectives and procedures of the camps and issued clear directives to ensure their effective and purposeful execution. Under this new, public-welfare-oriented initiative of the Government of Bihar, these assistance camps are being organized to facilitate the swift, transparent, and effective resolution of common citizens' grievances. The primary objective of this initiative is to ensure the time-bound resolution of complaints related to various government departments at a single location, as well as to provide the general public with information regarding—and access to the benefits of—various government schemes. These assistance camps will be organized at the Panchayat level on the first and third Tuesdays of every month. During the camps, public grievances and complaints will be resolved expeditiously in the presence of officials from the district, sub-divisional, and block levels. Prior to the camps, adequate publicity and awareness campaigns will be conducted; furthermore, the Block Development Officer will ensure that arrangements are in place to begin receiving applications as early as 30 days before the scheduled event. The concerned officials are required to resolve the applications received prior to the camp within the stipulated timeframe and submit a written report regarding their resolution during the camp itself. The proper registration and resolution of all applications will be duly ensured. A list of Nodal Officers designated for the camps scheduled to be held in the 42 Panchayats on May 19 has already been released.
