BHABHUA-------------------------An incident involving the fatal stabbing of a young man near Ekta Chowk in Bhabua town has come to light. The area is tense following the incident. Agitated family members and locals placed the body at Ekta Chowk, blocked the road, and demanded the immediate arrest of the accused. The deceased has been identified as Dhanji Kumar (son of the late Anil Pasi), a resident of Ward No. 25 in Bhabua town. Reports indicate that the young man had gone to buy shoes with four companions on Sunday evening. While there, he was allegedly dragged by some individuals from Janki Katra—located near Ekta Chowk—into the lane leading to the vegetable market. It is alleged that a group of 10 to 20 attackers surrounded him and stabbed him multiple times before fleeing the scene. The critically injured youth succumbed to his injuries. News of the murder sparked outrage among family members and locals; they blocked the road at Ekta Chowk and demanded the immediate arrest of the perpetrators. Upon receiving information about the incident, the Bhabua police arrived at the scene and attempted to pacify the crowd. Bhabua Station House Officer (SHO) Mukesh Kumar stated that the police are actively investigating the matter and taking steps to arrest the accused. Meanwhile, Kaimur SP Shikhar Chaudhary said that the actual motive behind the murder would only be determined after the police investigation concludes. The police are currently searching for the absconding accused.
