SASARAM------------------------Two people, including a driver from the women's police battalion, died due to electrocution at separate locations in the district on Wednesday. The police from the respective stations have taken custody of both bodies and sent them to Sadar Hospital, Sasaram, for post-mortem examinations, while further formalities are being completed. The first incident occurred at the women's police battalion in Beda, Sasaram. It is reported that Lal Sahab Singh, a Havildar, was washing his vehicle at the battalion premises on Wednesday morning when he was electrocuted and died. The deceased was a native of Siswar village under the Sabar police station area in Kaimur district; his death has devastated his family. The family members have raised questions regarding the arrangements at the women's police battalion and alleged negligence in providing medical treatment. They claim that the Havildar's life could have been saved had timely and appropriate medical care been provided. The family has demanded an investigation into the matter and action against those responsible. However, the police state that the actual cause of death and the validity of the allegations will only become clear following the post-mortem report and a departmental inquiry. The second incident took place in Kharvaniya village under the Agrer police station area, where a man died while working on electrical equipment. Although his family rushed him to a nearby health center after he suffered an electric shock, doctors declared him dead on arrival. The deceased has been identified as Anil Singh, son of Bhagwan Singh, a resident of Kharvaniya village. Following the incident, the family is in a state of shock and grief, and the women are inconsolable.
