TOP-10 CRIMINAL ARRESTED

BHABHUA----------------------------Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a special raid operation in the Mohania police station area on the night of July 22–23. During the operation, the police arrested the notorious criminal Deva Paswan (also known as Sahab Paswan or Ganesh Paswan)—son of Shambhu Paswan and a resident of Ward No. 12, Mohania—from his home; he was listed among the district's top-10 criminals. Deva Paswan had long evaded police custody and was wanted in connection with several serious cases. The police achieved another major success during the raid: Munna Pasi (son of Lathu Pasi, resident of Paswan Toli, Mohania) was also arrested from Deva Paswan's house. Munna Pasi was a wanted accused in Mohania Police Station Case No. 983/25 and had been sought by the police for a long time. According to the police, Deva Paswan has an extensive and serious criminal record. Several cases have been registered against him involving charges such as murder, attempted murder, robbery, violations of the Arms Act, and other serious offenses. These include Mohania Police Station Case Nos. 413/16 (murder and criminal conspiracy), 203/20 (murder), 249/20 (life-threatening assault), and 597/21 (Arms Act), as well as Durgawati Police Station Case No. 150/25 and Sonhan Police Station Case No. 168/24, among others. The police had been making efforts to arrest him for a long time. DSP Gopal Krishna stated in a press conference that both criminals were arrested based on a tip-off. Following the arrests and the completion of necessary legal formalities, both individuals have been remanded to judicial custody. He emphasized that the Kaimur Police are conducting continuous operations against criminals and that those who undermine law and order will not be spared under any circumstances. The arrest of 'Top-10' criminal Deva Paswan is being hailed as a major achievement for the Kaimur Police. Officials stated that this action would help effectively curb crime in the district and that similar operations against absconding criminals would continue.
