BUXAR----------------------------The police have achieved a major breakthrough in the case involving sexual misconduct with female students at the Middle School located in Nathuni Ahir ke Dera, within the Dumraon block of the district. Acting on the instructions of SP Shubham Arya, the police arrested the third and prime accused in the case, teacher Birendra Prasad. According to police sources, the accused was apprehended at the Buxar railway station while attempting to flee. Following the arrest, the police are interrogating him.

It is reported that police action in the case was ongoing, and surveillance was being maintained at potential hideouts to apprehend the prime accused. During this process, the police received information about his arrival at the Buxar railway station; a team subsequently surrounded and arrested him.

In this case, the police had previously arrested two other accused—Headmaster Md. Imam Ali and teacher Arvind Kumar—and sent them to jail. Following the arrest of the prime accused, teacher Birendra Prasad, police action in the case has intensified.

According to the police, the conduct of the accused teacher, Birendra Prasad, has raised serious questions. There is widespread resentment among the residents of his village following the revelation of the incident; villagers have condemned his actions and demanded strict legal proceedings against him.

Since the matter came to light, the Education Department has also tightened oversight in the district's schools. Following the incident at the school in Nathuni Ahir ka Dera, Dumraon, four teachers—including the teacher-in-charge—were suspended from Garhatha Kala Middle School in Brahmpur due to various irregularities, including allegations that a female student was made to massage a teacher's shoulders. Meanwhile, the headmistress of Acharya Narendra Dev Middle School in Buxar was suspended following complaints from female students.

Subsequently, the teacher-in-charge, Vipin Kumar, was suspended after a video went viral showing the physical abuse of students at the Girls' Middle School in Rampur, Chausa. Amidst a series of such incidents and the Education Department's prompt responses, the arrest of the prime accused teacher has further accelerated police action in the case.

With the arrest of the main accused, it is expected that police interrogation will reveal further facts and details regarding the sequence of events.
