ARA--------------------------Regarding the case filed by Shahpur MLA Rakesh Ranjan Ojha... Girja Devi, the Mukhiya (village head) of Prasaunda Panchayat, has demanded an impartial, independent, and transparent investigation by the administration regarding the case. In a press release issued on Monday, she stated that it is inappropriate to draw conclusions in any case based solely on the version of one party; all parties involved should be given an equal opportunity to present their side.

The Mukhiya urged for a thorough investigation into the available documents, evidence, and circumstances, as well as the recording of statements from all concerned individuals. She emphasized that public trust hinges on the impartial functioning of the police and administration; therefore, the investigation must be conducted in a manner that ensures no party feels discriminated against.

Girja Devi alleged that MLA Rakesh Ranjan Ojha conspired to harm her son—who is currently incarcerated—by inciting other prisoners to attack him. She has demanded an impartial inquiry into these allegations as well, although they have not been independently verified.

The Mukhiya has placed four key demands before the administration. She has called for an investigation by an independent agency and a probe into an alleged anonymous letter sent on July 4, 2026. She specifically requested an examination of the letter's claims regarding the transfer of Lambu Sharma to Jamui Jail on July 31, 2025, and the presence of Kuber Mishra in Beur Jail.

Additionally, she demanded an inquiry into the whereabouts of an individual named Vikas Kumar at the Shahpur police station and a review of CCTV footage from the post office from which the letter was sent. She asserted that the objective of the investigation should not be to implicate anyone falsely, but rather to uncover the truth and ensure legal action is taken against the guilty.
