POLICE ACTION AGAINST VIRAL VIDEO

BHABHUA------------------------Acting swiftly on the basis of a viral video from the Chainpur police station area in Kaimur district, the police arrested a young man accused of illegally extorting money from trucks and heavy vehicles. This police action is viewed as a crucial step toward maintaining law and order. According to reports, the Chainpur police were on routine daytime patrol on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, when they came across a video rapidly circulating on social media. The video showed a young man standing in the middle of the road, stopping passing trucks and other heavy vehicles to collect money from them. Upon receiving the video, the police immediately initiated an investigation. Technical and local verification revealed that the video was filmed in Karji village, within the Chainpur police station's jurisdiction. Subsequently, the individual in the video was identified as Kamlesh Tiwari, a resident of Karji village and son of Kripa Shankar Tiwari.

Upon identification, the Chainpur police raided the accused's residence without delay. Kamlesh Tiwari was arrested during the raid. Following his arrest, he was brought to the police station for questioning, and legal proceedings were initiated against him. The police have registered an FIR against the accused under Case No. 385/26 (dated July 29, 2026) at Chainpur police station, invoking Section 308(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Officials stated that a detailed investigation is underway, and other facts related to the viral video are being examined. The police are also investigating whether the accused had been involved in such activities for a long time and whether others were complicit. If the investigation reveals the involvement of other individuals, action will be taken against them in accordance with the law.

Immediate action was taken after acknowledging the viral video on social media. Following verification of the video, the accused was identified and arrested. An FIR has been registered against him under relevant sections, and further legal proceedings are in progress. Kaimur Police will continue their crackdown on illegal extortion, racketeering, and any activities that compromise law and order. The police have appealed to the general public and vehicle drivers to immediately report any instances of illegal extortion, racketeering, or other unlawful activities observed on the roads. They have assured the public that prompt action will be taken on every complaint.

In this instance as well, the accused was arrested following a swift investigation based on a viral video, sending a clear message that the police will deal strictly with those who take the law into their own hands.
