The matter is under investigation. The deceased's elder brother, Akbar Ansari, stated that Shahzad had left home saying he was going to bathe with friends, but news of his drowning arrived shortly after. The family had no inkling that the son who had left home happy and cheerful would never return. Following the incident, the family is in a state of deep grief, and a pall of gloom has descended upon the village. His elder brother, Akbar Ansari, recounted that he had gone to the dam to bathe with friends when news of the drowning suddenly arrived; although he was rushed to the hospital, the doctor declared him dead. This tragic accident at Mevda Dam has once again highlighted the dangers of bathing in deep water bodies without safety precautions. The police are currently investigating the matter and awaiting the post-mortem report.
