BHABHUA---------------------------A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday at the Durgavati River dam in the Kudra police station area of ​​Kaimur district. A young man drowned in deep water while bathing with his friends. Upon learning of the incident, a large number of villagers gathered at the scene. The news caused an outcry among the family members, and a wave of grief swept through the entire village. The deceased has been identified as Shahzad Ansari, son of Madan Ansari, a resident of Karma village. Reports indicate that Shahzad had gone to the Durgavati River dam in the Kudra police station area to bathe with his friends. While bathing, he suddenly strayed into deep water and began to drown. His friends attempted to rescue him but were unsuccessful.

Upon receiving news of the incident, local villagers rushed to the spot and, after considerable effort, managed to pull the young man out of the water. He was immediately rushed to the Community Health Center in Kudra in critical condition, where doctors declared him dead after examination. The family was devastated and inconsolable the moment doctors declared him dead. Upon receiving news of the incident, the Kudra police arrived at the hospital and initiated an investigation. The police took custody of the body, completed the necessary legal formalities, and sent it to Sadar Hospital, Bhabhua, for a post-mortem examination. Police stated that further action would be taken once the post-mortem report is received. Reports had been received of a young man drowning while bathing in the Mevda Dam; the police arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and are sending it to Sadar Hospital, Bhabhua, for the autopsy. The matter is under investigation. The deceased's elder brother, Akbar Ansari, stated that Shahzad had left home saying he was going to bathe with friends, but news of his drowning arrived shortly after. The family had no inkling that the son who had left home happy and cheerful would never return. Following the incident, the family is in a state of deep grief, and a pall of gloom has descended upon the village. His elder brother, Akbar Ansari, recounted that he had gone to the dam to bathe with friends when news of the drowning suddenly arrived; although he was rushed to the hospital, the doctor declared him dead. This tragic accident at Mevda Dam has once again highlighted the dangers of bathing in deep water bodies without safety precautions. The police are currently investigating the matter and awaiting the post-mortem report.
