ARA-----------------------------To make the document registration process seamless, secure, and transparent, the Department of Prohibition, Excise and Registration (Government of Bihar) has implemented a paperless registration system—under the e-registration framework—across the state in a phased manner. As part of the third and final phase, this paperless registration system was implemented in the Bhojpur district on August 17, 2026.

The paperless registration system makes the process of drafting and registering documents more convenient, transparent, and accountable. It saves time for the parties involved and offers them the facility to draft their own documents. The availability of secure electronic storage for registered documents facilitates their preservation and helps prevent fraud.

Following registration, the parties will receive a free printed copy of the document from the registration office, bearing the office seal. Previously, there were concerns regarding the safety of original documents in the event of loss or destruction due to disasters or other causes. Now, the registered document remains securely stored in electronic format and is available online, allowing for easy retrieval whenever needed.

Providing an OTP during the registration process is optional. Additionally, options for e-KYC and Digital Signature (DSC) alongside Aadhaar-based OTP authentication have been made available.

Parties can first create an ID on the *enibandhan.bihar.gov.in* portal using their mobile number and e-mail ID. Subsequently, they can draft their documents online by entering the necessary details. The facility to draft documents independently via mobile saves time and simplifies the registration process.

If an individual faces difficulty in drafting documents online, assistance can be obtained at the counter of the respective registration office. Furthermore, necessary documents can also be uploaded online with the help of service providers operating within the registration office premises. On the instructions of District Magistrate Mr. Manesh Kumar Meena, an extensive awareness campaign will be conducted across all panchayats in the district to inform citizens about the e-registration and paperless registration systems. Instructions have been issued to all Sub-Registrars, Mukhiyas, and other concerned officials to ensure the necessary actions are taken. Additionally, efforts will be made—through public representatives—to inform as many people as possible about this facility and encourage them to avail themselves of its benefits.

The District Registration Office, Bhojpur, appeals to citizens to make maximum use of the paperless registration system for document registration and to take advantage of the available online facilities.

In case of any inconvenience, citizens may contact the District Sub-Registrar (Bhojpur, Ara) at 9110036336, the Sub-Registrar (Jagdishpur) at 9110036338, or the Sub-Registrar (Piro) at 9110036339.
