BHABHUA----------------------------In a major crackdown against illegal arms manufacturing and the smuggling of weapons and ammunition, the district police have busted a mini-gun factory. Acting on a tip-off, the police raided a shop in the Kasba Mohalla area under the Chainpur police station limits, arresting one accused and seizing various tools used for manufacturing weapons. During the operation, the police recovered and seized three barrels, 25 live cartridges, a drill machine, a cutter machine, a hammer, and a motorcycle.

The arrested individual has been identified as Mohammad Asgar Ali, son of Sheikh Kalim, a resident of Kasba Mohalla in the Chainpur police station area. According to the police, the accused was secretly involved in smuggling weapons and ammunition—as well as manufacturing arms—under the guise of running his shop.

Providing details on the matter, Kaimur SP Shikhar Chaudhary stated that the police had received confidential information that Mohammad Asgar Ali was illegally smuggling weapons and cartridges from his shop in Kasba Mohalla. Recognizing the seriousness of the information, a special team led by the DIU (District Intelligence Unit) was constituted.

Acting on the tip-off, the team arrived at the accused's shop and conducted a thorough search. During the search, several incriminating items were recovered, including cartridges and tools used for weapon manufacturing. In addition to three barrels and 25 live cartridges, the police seized a drill machine, a cutter machine, and a hammer from the scene. A motorcycle was also confiscated.

This police action has raised several questions regarding illegal arms smuggling in the area. The police are now investigating the source of the weapon-manufacturing tools and attempting to identify the intended recipients of the weapons and cartridges.

The police are interrogating the arrested accused to gather information about other individuals linked to his network. The police are also attempting to identify others involved in this illicit trade of illegal weapon manufacturing and trafficking. The seized items have been confiscated, an FIR has been registered against the accused, and further legal proceedings are underway.

This police action is being viewed as a major success in the fight against the illegal arms trade. Police officials state that the campaign against the manufacturing, trafficking, and buying/selling of illegal weapons and ammunition in the district will continue.
