Kumar Ratneshwar Singh Honored

Darbhanga (RNI): Kumar Ratneshwar Singh of the Darbhanga royal family was honored yesterday evening by the SAARC Journalists Forum (SJF).

SJF Executive Chairman and senior journalist, Dr. Samrendra Pathak, felicitated him by presenting a traditional Mithila turban and a shawl. The event was attended by several social workers and journalists.

Dr. Pathak had been invited by the royal family to attend the twelfth-day ritual following the demise of Rajmata Kamsundari Devi. However, he was unable to attend. The last rites were performed by Kumar Ratneshwar Singh.

In the past, Raj Kumar Singh served as a member of the Board of Directors of Aryavart and The Indian Nation, prominent Hindi and English daily newspapers published from Bihar.

During his visit to the Mithila region, Dr. Pathak also met several distinguished personalities from the fields of journalism, education, and social and political spheres. Among them was noted social worker Mrs. Neelam Jha, who recently underwent eye surgery performed by Padma Shri awardee Dr. J.S. Titiyal, a renowned ophthalmologist of the country.
