PATNA----------------------The Health Department has launched the ‘Seva Sankalp evam Kayakalp Abhiyan’ (Service Pledge and Transformation Campaign) to make government health institutions in Bihar clean, well-organized, and more patient-friendly. Under this campaign, essential works such as painting, minor repairs, and the enhancement of patient amenities will be carried out across government health facilities statewide.
The campaign covers 36 district hospitals, 56 sub-divisional hospitals, 49 referral hospitals, 342 community health centers, 110 primary health centers, 844 additional primary health centers, and 147 urban primary health centers and Ayushman Arogya Mandirs.
Health Minister Nishant stated that the target is to complete all designated works by October 31, 2026. Regular monitoring and progress reviews will be conducted to ensure that the campaign's activities are completed on time and to a high standard.
To improve the infrastructure of health institutions in rural areas, the department will coordinate with the Rural Development Department to undertake tasks such as the construction of boundary walls and toilets, site leveling (soil filling), beautification, and tree plantation.
The Health Minister emphasized that quality healthcare extends beyond medical treatment alone; it is equally important for patients to have access to a clean, safe, and convenient environment at the health center where they receive care. The government aims to ensure that every individual in Bihar has access to quality healthcare facilities close to their home and that every government health institution becomes clean, well-organized, and patient-friendly.
