DM DISTRIBUTED FOOD BASKETS TO 132 TB PATIENTS

ARA-------------------------On Tuesday, District Magistrate Manesh Kumar Meena distributed food baskets to 132 TB patients within the Collectorate premises. Officials and staff from the Health Department, including Civil Surgeon Dr. Shivendra Kumar Sinha, were present on the occasion. Bihar Distillers and Bottlers Private Limited (Garhani, Bhojpur) has taken responsibility for providing nutritional support to these 132 TB patients by adopting them under the 'Nikshay Mitra' initiative.

The District Magistrate stated that, alongside medical treatment, special attention must be paid to the nutrition of patients to eradicate TB. A balanced and nutritious diet plays a crucial role in maintaining the patients' immunity and facilitating a speedy recovery during treatment. Providing nutritional support to patients through the Nikshay Mitra initiative is a meaningful effort that strengthens the TB eradication campaign.

He emphasized that public participation plays a vital role in achieving the goal of a TB-free Bhojpur. He appealed to capable individuals, organizations, and business establishments in the community to step forward as 'Nikshay Mitras' and assist with the nutrition and treatment of TB patients. He added that continuous efforts are being made to make the district's TB eradication campaign more effective through public participation.

District Communicable Disease Officer Dr. A. Ahmad, the 'Doctors For You' district coordination team, representatives from Bihar Distillers and Bottlers Private Limited (Garhani), and other officials and staff from the TB department were present at the event.
