Investigation ongoing to determine the nature of the Bharat Tiwary incident: DIG.

Patna: The STF presented its achievements regarding encounters to the media. During this session, questions were raised about the alleged encounter involving Bharat Tiwary. In response, STF DIG Sanjay Kumar Singh stated that the case of Bharat Tiwary, from Bilauti village in Bhojpur, is under investigation. They are investigating the exact nature of the incident—whether it was an encounter or something else. A judicial inquiry is also in progress. Consequently, the STF has not currently included this incident in the list of encounters that took place this year. He explained that an encounter is not a policy but a part of the police's role; if a criminal or any element challenges the police, the police open fire in self-defense.

Bihar STF DIG Sanjay Kumar Singh shared important information regarding the state's law and order situation and police actions. Addressing the Bharat Tiwary case from Bilauti village, Bhojpur, he noted that a judicial inquiry is ongoing, which is why the STF has not included it in this year's list of encounters.
