CLASS IX STUDENT SHOT AT, INJURED

ARA--------------------------A Class 9 student was shot by bike-borne miscreants while waiting for his school bus in Bihar's Rohtas district. The student sustained three gunshot wounds to his chest; one bullet struck the left side of his chest, leaving him in critical condition. His family has admitted him to a private hospital in Ara for treatment.

According to reports, the injured student is Ashish Kumar, son of Dinesh Singh, a resident of Kaithi village in Rohtas district. Ashish studies at a private school in Daudnagar, Aurangabad district. He had left home on Friday morning and was waiting for the school bus at a stop near Jagu Tola, approximately 800 meters from his house.

During this time, miscreants riding an Apache motorcycle arrived, shot the student, and fled the scene. After being shot, the student collapsed on the spot, critically injured. Upon learning of the incident, his family rushed to the location and immediately took him to a private hospital in Ara.

The injured student stated that he had been involved in a dispute at school about two weeks ago. According to him, the argument arose after some chutney spilled onto his shirt. He suspects that the attack was a result of this dispute. However, the actual motive behind the shooting has not yet been officially confirmed.

Surgeons Saurabh Prince and Nayyar Zaman, who are treating the student, stated that the bullet had struck the left side of his chest. The bullet was successfully removed during surgery. Doctors report that the patient's condition is currently stable, though he will remain under medical observation for the next 72 hours.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the local police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. The police are working to determine the motive behind the attack and identify the miscreants involved. The police are investigating various aspects of the matter.
