ARA-------------------------A sensation gripped the area on Wednesday when the body of an unidentified youth was discovered in the Son River at Bindgawa, within the jurisdiction of the Koilwar police station (Babura area). Upon spotting the body in the river, villagers immediately informed the police. The police arrived at the scene, retrieved the body from the river, and took it into custody. Attempts were made to identify the body with the help of locals, but an immediate identification could not be established.

Subsequently, locals circulated a photograph of the body on social media to aid in identification. Within about an hour of the photo going viral, the body was identified. The deceased was identified as Vishnu Kumar, the 19-year-old son of Jayram Rai, a resident of Ward No. 4 in the Koilwar Nagar Panchayat area.

Upon receiving news of the identification, the family members of the deceased arrived at the scene. The police conducted a post-mortem examination at Sadar Hospital, Ara, after which the body was handed over to the family.

The deceased's mother, Sushila Devi, stated that four days earlier, Vishnu had left for Parev—under the Bihta police station area—saying he was going to visit his sister's in-laws' house. He did not return home after that. Despite extensive searching, no trace of him was found. While the family was still searching for him, they received the news that the body had been found in the Son River.

Vishnu was one of three brothers was second in line. Chaos and grief engulfed the household upon receiving the news of the son's death. The family members are inconsolable. The incident has sparked various speculations in the area. The police are investigating the matter based on the post-mortem report and other factors.
