BUXAR--------------------------On the auspicious occasion of Jashn-e-Eid Milad, two blood donation camps were organised in Buxar on Tuesday, promoting the spirit of humanity, brotherhood and voluntary service.
Social organisation Blood Buxar held a blood donation and awareness camp near Dariya Shahid Dada. A total of 32 volunteers donated blood. The camp was jointly inaugurated by Sub-Divisional Officer Avinash Kumar, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Gaurav Pandey, Red Cross Chairman Suresh Agrawal, Nagar Parishad Chairman’s representative Nemtullah Faridi, Tapeshwari Devi Blood Centre Director Major P.K. Pandey and Om Ji Yadav.
Among those present were Nisar Ahmad, Amjad Ali, Snehashish Harshvardhan, and Blood Buxar members Adil Khan, Naseem Nayak, Priyesh, Sumit Mansinghka, Shadab Alam, Safi Ali, Aman Ali and Shahabuddin Khan. Donors included Nurul Hoda, Tasleem Ahmad, Akash Deep, Aditya Keshari, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Md. Shahbaz, Anish Prasad, Shahrukh Khan, Shadab Alam, Ahmad, Sunil Verma, Sirajul Khan and Md. Qayumuddin.
However, Blood Buxar members alleged that arrangements by the Sadar Hospital administration were inadequate. More than 50 people had turned up to donate, but only one technician and one counsellor were deputed. As a result, the process became slow and several willing donors had to return disappointed. The organisers also claimed that the absence of sufficient medical staff caused inconvenience when some donors felt unwell. They expressed dissatisfaction over the mismanagement and demanded better healthcare facilities and adequate medical arrangements for future social service camps.
Meanwhile, the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Foundation organised its blood donation camp for the fourth consecutive year at the premises of Hazrat Dada Dariya Sahib (Rahmatullah Alaih) Dargah. More than 60 people voluntarily donated blood. Nemtullah Faridi, representing the Chairman, attended as the chief guest along with Rajesh Yadav and other dignitaries.
Organiser Mohammad Waqar Qureshi welcomed the donors and expressed gratitude. He said blood donation is a great social service that helps save the lives of needy patients. Through the camp held on Eid Milad, the foundation aimed to spread the message of brotherhood, service and humanity.
Among those present were Sabit Rohtasvi, Afroz Alam, Om Ji Yadav, Sonu Supriya, Amjad Ali, Ejaz Ahmad alias Chhote, Ramji Singh, Rehan Idrisi, Parvez Qureshi, Mohammad Naushad, Md. Asif, Sonu Golden Idrisi, Rajan Bhai and Saddam Rain.
The organisers of both camps emphasised that blood donation is equivalent to giving life. By linking the religious celebration of Eid Milad with voluntary blood donation, the events presented an inspiring example of communal harmony, mutual brotherhood and humanitarian service.
