ARA------------------------A serious case of alleged mob lynching has come to light in Ara, located in Bihar's Bhojpur district. Late at night in Western Englishpur village—under the jurisdiction of the Imadpur police station—a young man was beaten to death with sticks and clubs by villagers on allegations of cattle theft. The incident caused a stir in the area. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Akhilesh Kumar, son of the late Hiralal Pandey and a resident of Sohgi village in the Nasriganj police station area of Rohtas district. The police have taken possession of the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination. An atmosphere of grief and outrage prevails among the family members of the deceased following the incident.

An FIR has been registered at the Imadpur police station based on the statement of the deceased's elder brother, Rakesh Kumar. The FIR names Chandramani Singh, a resident of Western Englishpur village, as an accused, while also implicating 15 to 20 unidentified individuals. The police are making efforts to identify and arrest all the accused.

Meanwhile, the case took a new turn when the cattle owner, Chandramani Singh, also lodged a complaint. He alleged that the deceased, Akhilesh Kumar, had come to steal cattle accompanied by two other unidentified associates. During this attempt, villagers apprehended them, leading to the incident.

Taking action, the police have arrested the cattle owner, Chandramani Singh. Simultaneously, the roles of others involved in the incident are being investigated. The police have stated that a fair investigation will be conducted, and strict legal action will be taken against anyone found guilty. Currently, the police are investigating the matter by considering all aspects. Further legal action will be determined based on the post-mortem report and other evidence. The incident has once again raised serious questions about the tendency of mobs to take the law into their own hands.
