BUXAR-----------------------------A shocking incident that puts humanity to shame has come to light in Gurudas Mathiya village, located within the jurisdiction of the Mufassil Police Station in the district. A young man was brutally beaten while hanging upside down from a tree on accusations of theft. As a video of the incident went viral on social media, it created a sensation in the area and raised serious questions regarding law and order.

According to reports, villagers apprehended a young man late Sunday night—around 3:00 AM—on suspicion of theft. It is alleged that the youth had entered the village with the intent to commit theft. Alerted by the commotion, locals gathered at the scene and captured him.

Subsequently, taking the law into their own hands, the mob used a rope to hang the youth upside down from a tree and subjected him to a severe beating.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Mufassil Police arrived at the scene, rescued the youth from the clutches of the mob, and admitted him to a hospital for medical treatment. It is reported that the victim is a resident of the same village.

Meanwhile, the youth's family members have leveled serious allegations regarding the entire episode. They claim that the youth was framed on false charges and assaulted due to a pre-existing feud within the village.

In this regard, Shambhu Bhagat, the Station House Officer (SHO) of the Mufassil Police Station, stated that an FIR has been registered against 12 named accused persons based on the victim's written complaint, and further action in the matter is underway. The police have affirmed that the investigation has been expedited based on the viral video, and the culprits will not be spared under any circumstances.
