SOME MISCREANTS SHOT AT AND INJURED GRANDFATHER AND HIS GRANDDAUGHTER WHILE SLEEPING IN BUXAR

BUXAR (RNI) Some unidentified armed miscreants shot at and injured an elderly person and his granddaughter sleeping outside the house at Nainijor village under the same police station in Buxar district. The injured were admitted to the Buxar Sadar Hospital. Panic prevails in and around the village following the incident. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Nainijor police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. Reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained.

SHO Nainijor police station said that an elderly person Chatur Yadav along with his granddaughter was sleeping outside his house when at about midnight, some armed miscreants came and pumped bullets into them and escaped from the scene. Hearing the sound of the shot, the family members came out of the house and found both were lying soaked in blood. They rushed them to the Raghunathpur Hospital but the doctor referred them to Buxar Sadar Hospital where the doctor advised to take them to Patna Medical College and Hospital. However, the family members admitted them to a private nursing home at Ara in Bhojpur district.
