Like every year, this year too, the peace committee meeting organized by the District Magistrate (DM), SDM, and police station in-charge has become a mere formality. The decisions made in the meeting have no visible impact on the ground.

A sacred and socially harmonious festival like Holi, which conveys the message of peace, prosperity, brotherhood, and goodwill, is now becoming a medium for obscene songs, provocative dances, loud DJ music, and open drug abuse. Alcohol has reached every village and neighborhood. Many unpleasant incidents have already occurred, and if timely action is not taken, a major incident cannot be ruled out.

The administration should not be a mere bystander. If strict action is not taken against obscenity, illegal alcohol, and law violations in a timely manner, social harmony will be severely damaged. It is the duty, responsibility, and responsibility of the administration to take impartial, strict, and effective action—not to sit idle waiting for a major incident to occur.

I demand from the district administration that:A special campaign be launched against illegal liquor sales., Strictly ban obscene and provocative songs., DJ volume limits should be strictly enforced., Additional police force should be deployed in sensitive areas. Swift and exemplary action should be taken against those found guilty.

The festival of Holi is a symbol of our culture and tradition. It is the responsibility of both the administration and society to prevent it from becoming a medium of obscenity and anarchy.

If strict action is not taken in time, society may have to suffer the adverse consequences. The administration should perform its administrative duties, responsibilities, and responsibilities with firmness and impartiality.
