PATNA---------------------------------Former Chief Minister Rabri Devi has launched a scathing attack on Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. She said that he should resign within 24 hours. "He keeps talking and doesn't stick to his words..."

The budget session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly is underway, and opposition protests are being witnessed both inside and outside the House. The opposition is continuously attacking the government over women's safety and law and order in the state. On Thursday, opposition members protested outside the House on law and order issues. Assembly proceedings began at 11 am on Friday, with the RJD creating a massive uproar in the House. Meanwhile, Rabri Devi has demanded the resignation of Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Samrat Chaudhary.

Indeed, former Chief Minister Rabri Devi has launched a scathing attack on the state government and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary over the issue of law and order. She said that the continuous criminal incidents in the state demonstrate the government's failure. Rabri Devi said that Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary had previously stated that criminals would be caught and punished within 24 hours, or else he would resign.

Now that crimes are occurring daily in the state, he should resign as per his statement. She alleged that the law and order situation has deteriorated in almost every district of Bihar. Incidents of rape, kidnapping, and murder are occurring continuously in the state. "Crime is showing no signs of stopping, and there seems to be no one to stop it," she said.

Rabri Devi said that when criminals are not being caught and incidents are continuously increasing, the government should hold them accountable. She reiterated that Samrat Chaudhary should resign as per his earlier statement. Opposition leaders launched a fierce attack, carrying posters that read, "Stop insulting women."
