BHABHUA--------------------------The traffic police in the district appear to be taking a completely strict stance regarding road safety regulations. On Wednesday, a special drive was conducted across various major intersections and squares in Bhabhua and Mohania, resulting in action being taken against those violating traffic rules. During this operation, driving without a helmet, triple-riding, and parking vehicles in "No Parking" zones proved to be costly offenses. In total, the police collected fines amounting to ₹94,000.

During the intensive inspection drive conducted at Patel Chowk, JP Chowk, and near the canal in Bhabhua city, the police specifically targeted two-wheeler riders. Riders driving without helmets and those carrying three people on a single bike were stopped, and challans (fine notices) were issued against them. Through this action, a total of ₹20,000 in fines was collected from 20 bike riders. During the drive, many riders were also educated about traffic rules on the spot and were given strict instructions to adhere to the regulations in the future.

Similarly, the traffic police conducted an intensive checking drive at Chandni Chowk in Mohania. Here, 21 bike riders were caught driving without helmets or engaging in triple-riding. Challans were issued against all of them, resulting in the collection of a total of ₹23,000 in fines. This police action created a stir in the area, and many motorists were observed changing their routes to avoid the checks.

Meanwhile, strict action was also taken against vehicles parked in "No Parking" zones at the busy Patna Mor intersection in Mohania. A drive was conducted against those parking vehicles along the roadside and in restricted areas, leading to the collection of ₹51,000 in fines. During this operation, several vehicles were also towed away, ensuring that traffic flow remained smooth.

Traffic Police Station In-charge Ravi Bhushan Kumar stated that this campaign regarding road safety would continue without interruption. He emphasized that driving without a helmet and engaging in triple-riding not only constitutes a violation of the law but can also prove to be life-threatening. Therefore, people should exercise personal responsibility and adhere to the rules. He appealed to the general public to strictly use helmets while riding vehicles, carry passengers within the prescribed limits, and refrain from parking vehicles indiscriminately. Road accidents can be reduced only by adhering to traffic rules. The police clarified that such campaigns would continue in the future, and strict action would be taken against those who violate the rules.
