BUXAR-----------------------A ‘Green Scarf’ (Hara Gamchha) protest event was organized by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in Koransarai, located in the Dumraon block area, on Tuesday. The event was led by local Mukhiya Indal Singh and saw the participation of a large number of RJD workers and youths. The presence of workers wearing green scarves gave the entire atmosphere an RJD-themed look.
The chief guest at the event was RJD MLC (Ara-Buxar) Sonu Rai. In his address, he described the green scarf as a symbol of RJD's ideology, social justice, and respect for farmers, laborers, and marginalized sections of society. He stated that the green scarf is not merely a piece of cloth but a symbol conveying a message of struggle, rights, and social transformation. Reacting to the Chief Minister's statement regarding the 'green scarf' (hara gamchha), MLC Sonu Rai remarked that instead of focusing on resolving the public's issues, comments are being made about symbols associated with the opposition. He stated that the green scarf symbolizes respect for farmers, the poor, and the marginalized, and that remarks made about it hurt the sentiments of millions of people.
The event was conducted by Mukhiya Indal Singh. He noted that the RJD has consistently championed the cause of the poor, farmers, and backward classes, and that the green scarf represents this very struggle and a politics dedicated to the public interest. He urged party workers to strengthen the organization and take the party's policies and ideologies to every village.
RJD youth leader Piyush Yadav stated that the growing support from the youth indicates that the RJD will play an even stronger role among the public in the future. He added that the youth are demanding answers from the government on issues such as employment, education, and development.
Hundreds of young activists wearing green scarves participated in the event. Several local public representatives and party office-bearers, including Mukhiya Asgar Ali, Guddu Yadav, Ritesh Sharma, Pappu Yadav, and Dharmpal Singh, were present on the occasion.
