ARA------------------------Amidst enchanting songs, devotional hymns, and resounding chants of "Jai Shri Ram," a grand procession was organized on Friday at the Piro sub-divisional headquarters to mark the occasion of Ram Navami. To facilitate this event, the Ram Navami Puja Committee had extended invitations to a large number of people to gather at the local Padav Ground. Local residents were visibly delighted by the presence of the local MLA, Vishal Prashant (alias Sushil Pandey), at the Ram Navami procession. From the main stage, the Chairperson of the Nagar Parishad (Municipal Council) Kiran Upadhyay, Vice-Chairperson Surendra Prasad Keshari, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Krishna Kumar Upadhyay, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Krishna Kumar Singh, and others jointly and formally inaugurated the procession. The procession commenced from the Padav Ground at 2:00 PM; it proceeded through Lohia Chowk, Piro Police Station, Gandhi Chowk, and Old Station Road, passing via Jwala Market, the New Bus Stand, and Ibrahimpur Mod. From there, it looped back through the Bus Stand area and continued along Bihiya Road—passing the Block Gate, Mahavir Chowk, Dusadhi Badhar Mod, Milki Mod, and the Canal Bridge—before finally concluding at Ojhwaliya Mod. The procession featured elephants, horses, camels, chariots, and musical bands, as thousands of people were seen dancing, singing, and chanting "Jai Shri Ram! Jai Shri Ram!" with immense enthusiasm and fervor. Tableaux depicting various deities—including Ram, Lakshman, Sita, and the valiant Hanuman—served as a special center of attraction for the crowds throughout the procession. During the event, social workers such as Amit Gupta, Dhiru Singh, Santosh Kumar Singh, Ravi Shankar Gupta, Rahul Kumar, Mahavir Chaudhary, Omprakash Kumar, Arun Kumar Singh, Chandan Kumar, Pappu Singh, Munna Prasad, Sanjay Kumar, and Omprakash Gupta—among many others—arranged for the distribution of cool drinking water, sweets, fruits, and sherbet at various points along the route for the participants. The occasion beautifully showcased the mutual harmony, spirit of service, and brotherhood prevailing among the people.

The local administration remained highly vigilant regarding law and order throughout the duration of the procession. To ensure this, police forces, accompanied by magistrates, were deployed at all sensitive locations. Meanwhile, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Krishna Kumar Upadhyay, DSP Krishna Kumar Singh, BDO Ashok Kumar, Station House Officer (SHO) Deepak Kumar Sah, and several other officials remained vigilant until the procession concluded.
