BUXAR----------------------------Amidst the growing public outrage across the country against the alleged continuous, systematic, and brutal atrocities being committed against the minority Hindu community in Bangladesh, the anger of the youth was also visible on the streets of Dumraon. In protest against the brutal murder of a Hindu youth named Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh a few days ago, a massive protest march was taken out from Rajgarh Chowk under the banner of Vishva Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal.
A large number of youths, social activists, and office-bearers of Hindu organizations participated in the protest march. Holding placards, the protesters raised slogans against the atrocities being committed against Hindus in Bangladesh. The entire area resonated with slogans like "Down with the Bangladeshi government," "Stop the killings of Hindus," and "He whose blood does not boil at this injustice, his blood is not blood, but water."
During the march, the protesters dragged an effigy of Bangladeshi Prime Minister Yunus Khan tied with a rope and burned it upon reaching the New Police Station premises. Through the effigy burning, deep anger was expressed against the alleged failure of the Bangladeshi government and the atrocities being committed against Hindus. The program was led by Santu Mitra, the block president of Vishva Hindu Parishad. He said that the Hindu community will no longer tolerate injustice and atrocities.
After the effigy burning, a protest meeting was organized. The meeting was presided over by Professor Shyam Narayan Rai, while it was conducted by youth leader Deepak Yadav. The speakers said that Hindus in Bangladesh are being systematically intimidated, murdered, their temples are being targeted, and Hindu families are being forced to migrate. Calling it a blatant violation of human rights, they demanded that the Indian government take strong diplomatic and international steps.
The meeting was addressed by several speakers including Virendra Rai, Samta Kumar, Sunil Siddharth, Ajay Pratap Singh, Chunmun Verma, Shakti Rai, Ramesh Kesari, Vimlesh Singh, Umesh Gupta, Vikas Pathak, Rajiv Gupta, Lal Ji Kesari, Anju Sharma, Suryavanshi, and Rahul Pratap Singh. Everyone unanimously declared that the Hindu community has now awakened and is ready for an organized struggle against injustice.
At the end of the program, youth leader Abhishek Ranjan delivered the vote of thanks. He said that this movement will continue until Hindus in Bangladesh receive justice and security. Hundreds of people were present on this occasion, including Abhishek Chaurasia, Shubham Sinha, Abhishek Pathak, Atish Sharma, Raja Yadav, Anil Verma, Golu Kumar, Vikas Raj, and Mukhiya Kushwaha.
This protest march in Dumraon clearly indicates that against the atrocities being committed against Hindus in Bangladesh, the voice of organized and decisive resistance is now being raised, rather than silence.
