POLICE SEIZED LICENSED RIFLE AND 25 CARTRIDGES

ARA----------------------------Following a viral social media video, the Ayar police conducted a raid and recovered a rifle and 25 live cartridges. However, the accused managed to flee the scene. The absconding accused is Krishnakant Singh, son of Hiralal Singh, a resident of Kusumha village under the Ayar police station area.

Superintendent of Police Raj released a press note on Sunday providing details of the incident. According to reports, a dispute had occurred a few days earlier between Krishnakant Singh and a relative (co-sharer). During the altercation, Krishnakant Singh threatened the relative by brandishing his father's licensed weapon; a video of this incident subsequently went viral on social media.

Acting swiftly after the video went viral, the police raided Krishnakant Singh's home on Saturday night. During the search, they recovered the licensed rifle and 25 live cartridges. An FIR has been registered against him under the Arms Act.

Ayar Station House Officer (SHO) Vandana Kumari stated that the police received the viral video on Saturday. After verifying its authenticity, they raided Krishnakant Singh's residence and seized the licensed rifle and 25 live cartridges. The police are now initiating the process to have the weapon's license cancelled.
