ARA-----------------------The police force of the Bihiya police station in Bhojpur district arrested five notorious criminals just before they could execute a major crime. Their arrest took place near Chaur village, located on the road leading to Bhojachak within the police station's jurisdiction. During a search, authorities recovered one country-made pistol (*desi katta*), eight cartridges, three motorcycles, and three mobile phones from their possession.

The arrested accused include Bittu Kumar (son of Gupteshwar Yadav) and Guddu Kumar Yadav (son of Dinesh Yadav)—both residents of Jamua village within the Bihiya police station area; Vikas Kumar Singh (son of Harendra Singh), a resident of Samardah village; Chhoti Tiwari (son of Jitendra Tiwari), a resident of Charghat village within the Bahoranpur police station area; and Anil Kumar (son of Jitendra Yadav), a resident of Rupbandh village within the Jagdishpur police station area. Superintendent of Police Raj shared this information on Monday via a press note.

He stated that the Bihiya police station had received a confidential tip-off indicating that several criminals, armed with weapons, had gathered near Chaur village on the road leading to Bhojachak within the station's jurisdiction, with the intent of either executing a major crime or robbing passersby. Upon verifying this intelligence, the Bihiya police team proceeded to the identified location.

Upon spotting the police vehicle, all the criminals attempted to flee. The police, with the assistance of armed personnel, immediately apprehended all five criminals. During the subsequent search, one country-made pistol, eight cartridges, three mobile phones, and three motorcycles were recovered from them. In connection with the recovery of the weapons and ammunition, the police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the arrested accused under the Arms Act at the Bihiya police station. The police are also currently scrutinizing the criminal histories of the arrested criminals.
