ARA---------------------------A joint briefing was organized at the Collectorate Auditorium in Arrah, under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate-cum-District Collector of Bhojpur, Mr. Tanay Sultania. The briefing involved 124 magistrates and police officers who have been deputed to maintain law and order on the occasion of the Eid-ul-Adha (Bakrid) festival.

The District Magistrate stated that Eid-ul-Adha (Bakrid) is a significant festival for the Muslim community, celebrated with reverence and enthusiasm over a period of three days. On the first day of the festival, members of the Muslim community offer prayers at Eidgahs and mosques.

With the objective of maintaining peace, harmony, and law and order during the festival, necessary directives were issued to all deputed magistrates, police officers, and police forces. The District Magistrate directed that all deputed officers and police personnel must ensure their arrival at their respective assigned locations by 6:00 AM on the scheduled date, May 28, 2026, and shall discharge their duties until the peaceful conclusion of the festival.

He further instructed them to maintain constant vigilance over anti-social and unruly elements, exercise special caution at sensitive locations, and work with mutual coordination to ensure that the festival is celebrated in a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere.

To facilitate the maintenance of law and order during the Bakrid festival, the District Control Room—located within the Bhojpur Collectorate premises—will remain active. The designated telephone number for the Control Room is 06182-248702.

The briefing session was attended by the Additional Collector (Public Grievances), all Sub-Divisional Officers, and the deputed magistrates and police officers.
