The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has initiated the online application process for the Secondary Special Examination 2026 and the Secondary Compartmental Examination 2026 for Class 10 students. Interested students can apply by visiting the official website: exam.biharboardonline.org.

The Secondary Compartmental Examination is intended for students who failed in one or two subjects during the main board examination. Its objective is to allow students to appear for an improvement examination and gain admission to the next academic level without losing an entire academic year.

Conversely, the Secondary Special Examination is conducted for students who were unable to appear for the main examination due to valid and exceptional reasons—such as medical emergencies or participation in recognized programs. This year, students from the 2023–24 batch are permitted to appear in only one subject (English).

Online Application Process:

Visit the Bihar Board website: exam.biharboardonline.org.

Select the type of examination (Special / Compartmental).

Fill in your details and upload your photograph and signature.

Verify your details and pay the application fee online or via RTGS/NEFT.

Submit the application and download the confirmation receipt.

For the Special Examination, students may select a maximum of two subjects. Applications will be accepted only through the respective schools; individual applications are not valid. Application Fee: ₹1,010 for the General Category and ₹895 for students belonging to the BC-I Category. By applying online in a timely manner, students can ensure their readiness for the examination and secure the opportunity to gain admission to the next class.
