ONE KILLED, EIGHT INJURED IN BUXAR VILLAGE

BUXAR-------------------------One person was killed while eight persons were injured on June 4, 2025 at Rajpur under the same police station in Buxar district. The deceased was identified as Somnath Baitha son of Mehi Lal Baitha of Dayadhara under Dinara police station in Rohtas while the injured were identified as a teacher, Primary School, Sakhuana village Rita Devi 40, her daughter Neetu Kumari 26, son Sonu Kumar 22, Krishna Singh 45, Neeraj Kumar 13 son of Harishankar Ram of Baghelwa village and Jwala Kumar son of Muni Rajak of Deadha under Dinara police station in Rohtas district. The condition of Rita Devi and her daughter Neetu Kumari is said to be critical. The auto driver could not be identified.

SHO Rajpur police station Gyan Prakash said that all the persons were coming from Ayodhay in the morning and were going to their native village by auto when a speeding sand laden trailer collided with the auto head-on in which one person was killed while eight others injured. The injured were rushed to the Primary Health Centre at Rajpur but the doctor referred them to the Buxar Sadar Hospital after first aid, BDO Siddarth Kumar reached the spot and took stock of the situation. This accident not only raises questions on administrative vigilance but also presents another horrifying example of unbridled speed on the roads.
