SASARAM---------------------------Corruption prevails in the offices of district and no work is done without paying convenience fee. Almost all the government offices especially in the block and zonal offices of Rohtas district are in its grip, Wheter it is the development work going on in the Panchayats of the block or mutation in the areas or any work related to land, no one can be benefited without greasing the palms of the CO involved in corruption.
Clerks and officers of many offies of the district which are neck deep in corruption have been caught by the vigilance and the CBI in the past. The team of the vigilance department has arrested the most trusted person of the CO Sudhir Omkara posted in Sasaram Zone. Data entry operator Akash Kumar was arrested from Sasaram Zonal office with a bribe of Rs. 1.10 lakh. Though the action created fearpsychosis among the offiials and employees but it proved temporary. Gradually, the demand for offerings in the form of bribe for departmental work starts from the innocent and hapless people of Rohtas district.
