MURDER OF ARMY SOLDER IS MATTER OF SHAME:BHAI DINESH

ARA------------------------------The murder of an Army soldier and his father over a land dispute is a matter of shame for the government. It appears that the fear of the law is vanishing in Bihar.

The brutal killing of Army soldier Jitendra Rai and his father over a land dispute is a deeply tragic and condemnable incident that has shaken the entire society. This is not merely a loss for one family; it casts a serious shadow of doubt over the law-and-order situation in Bihar.

I have previously drawn the attention of the government and the administration multiple times to the need for prioritizing the swift and impartial resolution of land disputes. Today, the root cause of most assaults, acts of violence, and murders in Bihar is the failure to resolve land disputes in a timely manner.

Upon receiving a complaint regarding a land dispute, the local police station should immediately summon both parties and issue instructions to maintain the *status quo* on the disputed land.

The Circle and Sub-divisional administrations must complete land measurements, record corrections, and other necessary procedures within a fixed timeframe.

If necessary, the dispute should be resolved with the assistance of local public representatives and respected citizens.

If this system is implemented honestly, approximately 95% of land disputes could be resolved at the local level itself. The remaining cases should also be settled quickly through speedy trials in court; the government should not delay in establishing new courts or appointing additional judges for this purpose if required.

I demand that the state government immediately arrest all the accused involved in the murder of Army soldier Jitendra Rai and his father, conduct an impartial investigation, and ensure that the guilty are given severe punishment.

Establishing the rule of law and ensuring the safety of citizens is the primary responsibility of any government.
