ARA--------------------------'Sahyog' (Assistance) and Public Welfare camps were organized on Tuesday across 42 Gram Panchayats and 38 wards of seven urban local bodies in Bhojpur district. A total of 4,922 applications were received at these camps. Officials resolved 90 percent of the received applications on the spot. Ministers Sanjay Singh Tiger and Shri Bhagwan Singh, along with the district's Minister-in-Charge Arun Shankar Prasad, visited various camps, interacted with the public, listened to their grievances, and issued directives for their resolution.
District Magistrate (DM) Tanay Sultania, SDO Shipra Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, DDC Baldev Chaudhary, and other senior officials inspected the camps. They issued instructions to officials to ensure the immediate resolution of issues. Citizens were informed about government-run schemes and provided with their benefits.
The DM instructed all concerned officials to ensure the prompt digitization of all received applications and to deliver benefits to applicants within the stipulated timeframe. The DM also appealed to district residents to submit applications regarding their issues and needs online, noting that the 'Sahyog' portal (sahyog.bihar.gov.in), developed by the Bihar government, is available for this purpose.
Higher Education and Law Minister Sanjay Singh Tiger attended the 'Sahyog' camp at Bhakura Panchayat in the Sadar Ara block. He listened to the problems and complaints of citizens and issued necessary instructions to officials for their quick resolution. On this occasion, the Minister distributed benefits and documents—including Shram (Labour) cards, Ayushman cards, *Vaas Parcha* (land possession certificates), and ration cards—to beneficiaries of various government schemes.
Planning and Development Minister Shri Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha attended the 'Sahyog' camps held at Dawan and Aiyar Panchayats in the Jagdishpur block. He listened to the grievances of the citizens and issued directives for their resolution. It was stated that the state government is committed to the speedy resolution of public grievances and ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person in society; this event is being organized with that very objective.
Meanwhile, villagers submitted 103 cases from Katariya, 114 from Bhadsar, and 116 from Aiyar. Officials from various departments—including Sub-Divisional Officer Krishna Kumar Upadhyay, Block Development Officer Ashok Kumar, the Circle Officer, and Block Education Officer Manoj Singh—promptly listened to the public's issues and resolved most cases on the spot. The Minister also distributed approval letters, labor cards, Ayushman cards, *Vas-parcha* (land allotment certificates), ration cards, and other benefit-related documents to the beneficiaries of various schemes.
At the camp held at the Koilwar Nagar Panchayat office, Minister-in-charge Arun Shankar Prasad interacted directly with the public and issued instructions for the resolution of their grievances. During the event, the Minister, accompanied by District Magistrate Tanay Sultania, inspected all the counters. He stated that the camp, organized at the state government's initiative, aims to provide quick solutions to people's problems and ensure the immediate disposal of applications.
He informed that approximately 28,000 applications had been received across the district's 'Sahyog Shivirs' (assistance camps) by Tuesday. The majority of these applications related to revenue, housing, and land disputes. Additionally, a large number of complaints regarding drains, roads, and the 'Nal-Jal' (tap water) scheme were received, and the process for resolving them has already begun.
Shyam Prakash Mahto, a resident of Suraudha Colony present at the camp, stated that over 150 families have been living in the colony for years but have yet to receive official receipts from the Circle Office. Consequently, they have been unable to avail themselves of the benefits of various government schemes. Meanwhile, about two dozen Dalit families from Ward No. 12 submitted applications demanding the issuance of *Vasgeet Parcha* (residential land allotment certificates).
Applications regarding online *Jamabandi* (land record updates), *Vasgeet Parcha*, and other revenue-related matters were received at the Revenue Department counter. Separate counters were set up by various departments—including Housing Schemes, the Public Distribution System (PDS), Aadhaar, Ayushman Cards, Health, Labour Resources, Electricity, and ICDS—to hear the public's grievances.
Chief Councilor Sartaj Alam, who was present at the venue, submitted a formal request seeking the provision of electricity, roads, and other basic amenities for Suraudha Island, as well as a permanent solution to the waterlogging problem in Suraudha Colony. Nagar Panchayat Executive Officer Sahab Yahia, police officials, ward councilors, and local residents were also present.
Camps were organized in the courtyard of the Panchayat Sarkar Bhawan (Nahsi) in Bangwa Panchayat (Garhani Block) and in Ward No. 2 of the Nagar Panchayat area. During these events, officials from various departments accepted applications from the public. BDO Archana Kumari stated that a total of 75 applications were received from the villagers of Bangwa Panchayat; of these, approximately 20 applications—related to pensions, birth certificates, life certificates, and labour cards—were resolved on the spot.
CO Deepa Kumari reported receiving a total of seven applications at the camp, four of which were resolved immediately. Meanwhile, a total of 28 applications were received from the residents of Ward No. 2 of the Nagar Panchayat, covering issues related to the Circle Office, Electricity Department, Nagar Panchayat Office, and the Block's Social Security wing.
Ward Councilor representative Munna Ram urged that the received applications be processed in coordination with the respective departments to ensure the public's work is completed. During this period, beneficiaries were provided with information regarding applications for government schemes, document verification, social security pensions, ration cards, housing schemes, Ayushman cards, and other public welfare initiatives.
The public participated enthusiastically in the camps organized in the district's Shahpur block to ensure the prompt resolution of public grievances. The administration organized special public hearing camps across three panchayats and one Nagar Panchayat in Shahpur. Most complaints pertained to sanitation, cleanliness, electricity supply, and ration cards. Demonstrating promptness, the administration ensured the on-the-spot resolution of the majority of the received applications. Cases requiring in-depth investigation or departmental action were forwarded to the concerned officials to facilitate their speedy resolution.
Block Development Officer (BDO) Shatrunjay Kumar Singh stated that a total of 158 applications were registered across these four areas. According to the data, 71 cases were received from Laludera Panchayat, 23 from Ishwarpura, 28 from Hariharpur Panchayat, and 36 from Shahpur Nagar Panchayat. The BDO clarified that while most applications were resolved at the camp venue itself, departmental procedures have been initiated to address the remaining pending cases.
Key demands raised in the applications from Shahpur Nagar Panchayat focused on sanitation arrangements, street light repairs, relief from waterlogging issues, and the construction of drains, lanes, and roads. Local residents have welcomed this administrative initiative and expressed hope that the remaining grievances will also be resolved soon.
