In the Dumraon sub-division of Buxar district, action has finally been taken against sub-inspectors who were negligent in investigating cases. On the recommendation of Dumraon SDOP Polast Kumar, Superintendent of Police Shubham Arya has taken strict action and transferred 15 investigators (sub-inspectors) posted at various police stations. This action has caused a stir within the police department and is being seen as a major sign of improved work practices. According to the order, these sub-inspectors have been transferred from one police station to another, or from the investigation unit to the law and order unit. According to reports, complaints of slowness in the execution of long-pending cases and lack of progress in investigations were continuously emerging. Taking this seriously, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDOP) reviewed and prepared a report, based on which this action was taken.

In the list released on Mahashivratri in Brahmapur, the city of Baba Bahyoswar Nath, Arvind Kumar, posted at Dumraon police station, has been transferred to Murar police station, Naveen Kumar Srivastava to Ramdas Rai's Dera, and Vipin Kumar to Nainijor police station. In addition to this, Kajal Kumari has been transferred from Simri to Sonvarsha Police Station; Kundan Kumar Singh from Simri to Sikraul Police Station; Dheeraj Thakur from Ramdas Rai Ka Dera to Dumraon Police Station; Kundan Singh from Ramdas Rai Ka Dera to Nawanagar Police Station; Brahmadev Turi from Nainijor to Dumraon Police Station; Jaiprakash Prasad from Brahmpur to Nainijor Police Station; Umesh Kumar from Brahmpur to Sikraul Police Station; Mangal Bhushan Paswan from Nawanagar to Dumraon Police Station; Sonam Kumari from Murar to Simri Police Station; Chandan Kumar from Sikraul to Simri Police Station; Vicky Yadav from Nawanagar to Dumraon Police Station; and Rakhi Kumari from Simri to Brahmpur Police Station. According to sources, the pace of investigation in several cases was extremely slow, resulting in delays in delivering justice to the victims. In light of this, the police administration has sent a clear signal that negligence will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Through these transfers, the concerned officials have been assigned new responsibilities, with the expectation that this will lead to an improvement in their performance. Directives issued by the Office of the Superintendent of Police mandate that all transferred officials must report for duty at their new postings within 24 hours. Furthermore, they have been instructed to ensure the submission of a compliance report. It is anticipated that this action will accelerate the investigation of cases and facilitate the timely disposal of pending matters. This will directly benefit the general public and also strengthen public trust in the police force. This move by the administration is not only significant in terms of establishing accountability but also conveys the message that the authorities will not hesitate to take tough decisions to ensure effective policing.
