ARA------------------------The newborn baby sold by his grandmother in Bhojpur has been recovered. Due to police pressure, the woman from Jharkhand who bought the child herself reached the Garhani police station with the baby. She admitted to buying the newborn from a rural doctor for four and a half lakh rupees. She was then arrested by the police. She has been identified as Poonam Sharma, wife of Sajjan Sharma, a resident of Loha Mohalla in Ramgarh, Jharkhand.

Meanwhile, upon hearing the news of her son's return after being missing for 13 days, Khushboo Kumari rushed to the police station. She broke down in tears as she hugged her child. Overjoyed, Khushboo Kumari thanked the Garhani Station House Officer and the entire police team. She said that her son was returned thanks to the prompt action of the police team. This was nothing short of a miracle for her.

With the recovery of the newborn and the arrest of everyone involved, from those who sold the baby to those who bought him, the police have solved the entire case. Station House Officer Kamaljeet said that all the accused arrested in this case are connected to a gang involved in the buying and selling of children. Their connections extend from Bihar to Jharkhand. The gang steals or buys children and sells them to needy people on demand for lakhs of rupees.

According to Station House Officer Kamaljeet, the woman from Jharkhand revealed during questioning that the deal for the newborn was for four and a half lakh rupees. She had already paid three and a half lakh rupees to the rural doctor. The Station House Officer said that all the members of the gang involved in this case of selling the newborn have been arrested. Information is being gathered about their network and previously committed crimes. If necessary, they may all be taken into custody for further questioning.

This shocking and inhumane incident of selling a newborn took place in Narayanpur village. There, a woman named Krinta Devi, angered by her son and daughter-in-law's love marriage, sold her grandson for fifty thousand rupees immediately after his birth. The incident was orchestrated by Krinta Devi on December 7th with the intention of separating her son and daughter-in-law. However, due to the prompt action of the Garhani police, the newborn was safely recovered. Those involved in selling and buying the newborn were also arrested.

It is worth noting that Khushboo Kumari, wife of Chitranjan Kumar, a resident of Narayanpur village, gave birth to a son at Agiaon PHC on December 7th. Since Chitranjan Kumar and his wife Khushboo Kumari were cousins, they had a love marriage. Angered by this, Khushboo's mother-in-law, Krinta Devi, to teach them a lesson, sold her newborn grandson to a doctor named Dilip for fifty thousand rupees immediately after his birth, with the help of a neighboring woman and her relative.

After Khushboo Kumari filed a complaint on December 16th, the police took swift action and arrested Khushboo Kumari's mother-in-law Krinta Devi, Kavita Sharma from the same village, and Kavita Sharma's relative, Chandni Sharma, a home guard constable from Ara, along with the doctor's assistant, Preeti Kumari. The arrest of these four proved to be a crucial link for the police.

Following the arrest of these four, the police intensified their efforts, and the main accused, Dilip alias Harishankar Pandit, a rural doctor from Rohtas district, surrendered at the police station. Based on his information, two of his other accomplices were arrested from Aurangabad and Piro. During questioning, the three told the police that the newborn had been sold to a woman from Jharkhand. Based on this information, the police intensified their search in Jharkhand, and the woman who had bought the child herself came to the Garhani police station with the baby.
