ARA--------------------------Under the aegis of Jeevika Bhojpur, a special orientation workshop for media professionals was organized on Saturday at a renowned hotel in the city. The primary objective of this workshop was to provide the media fraternity with an in-depth understanding of the various public welfare activities and projects being implemented by Jeevika across the district.
The program was formally inaugurated jointly by State Project Manager (Communications) Pawan Priyadarshi, District Public Relations Officer Alok Kumar, and Jeevika Bhojpur's District Project Manager, Varun Kumar, by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Representatives from both the print and electronic media sectors of the district were present in large numbers on this occasion.
During the workshop, the proceedings were anchored by Jeevika's Communications Manager, Manish Kumar. Through a detailed presentation, he shared an overview of the work being undertaken by Jeevika Bhojpur towards rural development and women's empowerment. Short films highlighting Jeevika's various activities and successful projects were also screened during the session, facilitating the attending journalists' understanding of the tangible changes taking place at the grassroots level.
Appreciating the role of the media, District Project Manager Varun Kumar stated that the media fraternity of Bhojpur is making a significant contribution in taking Jeevika's work to the masses. He appealed to the journalists to continue giving prominence to Jeevika's success stories, thereby enabling women in other blocks to emulate the exemplary work being carried out in specific blocks, and ensuring that this momentum of self-reliance spreads robustly across the entire district.
State Project Manager Pawan Priyadarshi described the media as a mirror of social change. In his address, he remarked that the true success of any meaningful work undertaken by an organization is realized only when it is effectively showcased to the public. Without the cooperation of the media, the widespread dissemination of development initiatives is not possible. The media's role remains pivotal in fostering social awareness and ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach the last mile—the most marginalized sections of society.
During the workshop, the attending media professionals also unreservedly praised Jeevika's operations and shared their valuable suggestions to further enhance the effectiveness of the organization's activities. At the conclusion of the program, Communications Manager Manish Kumar expressed his gratitude to all the visitors and requested them to continue positively disseminating information regarding Jeevika's various developmental activities in the future. All of Jeevika's district-level staff, Block Project Managers, and numerous block-level staff members were present at this event.
