SASARAM--------------------------A comprehensive community awareness program was organized by the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) in Karma village, Konki Panchayat. The event covered topics such as the 181 women's helpline, the prevention of child marriage, female foeticide, domestic violence, and dowry-related deaths. It also highlighted benefits from various government schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, pensions, Ayushman cards, Aadhaar registration, education, employment, and the Jeevika program.

The primary objective of the program was to raise awareness among villagers regarding women's empowerment, health, and government schemes. DHEW personnel informed the villagers about the legal consequences of child marriage and the serious health risks posed to daughters by early marriage. Villagers were made aware that they could call the government's 24-hour toll-free women's helpline (181) for confidential information or assistance; the identity of the caller is kept strictly confidential to ensure safety. Villagers were also encouraged to provide higher education to their daughters, completely eliminate gender discrimination in society, and protect their rights. Serious social issues, such as the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana and gender-based violence, were discussed in detail. Through this program, villagers were urged to ensure higher education for their daughters and to eradicate gender discrimination from society entirely.
