ARA-----------------------------With the objective of ensuring the swift resolution of common citizens' grievances in rural areas and extending government services down to the Panchayat level, the Shahpur Block administration has commenced extensive preparations. Aiming to deliver the benefits of government schemes directly to the last person in the queue and to streamline administrative services, Panchayat-wise 'Sahyog Shivirs' (Assistance Camps) will be organized across the block starting May 19th.

To ensure the success of these camps, a high-level review meeting was held on Friday at the Shahpur Block headquarters, presided over by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Jagdishpur, Sanjeet Kumar. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the operational modalities of the camps, departmental accountability, and various aspects related to public service delivery. The administration's primary focus is to ensure that the organization of these camps is not only transparent but also proves to be highly effective and beneficial for the general public.

According to information released by the administration, the first phase of these camps is set to begin on May 19th. During this phase, camps will be organized in the Damodarpur, Prasaunda, and Bariswan Panchayats of the block. Officials from various departments will be personally present at these camps to listen to the grievances of villagers and endeavor to resolve them on the spot, to the greatest extent possible.

The objective of these assistance camps is to spare villagers the hassle of making repeated rounds of government offices. Now, complaints related to crucial government services—such as revenue matters, health, education, ration cards, agriculture, social security, housing schemes, and pensions—can be resolved right at the local level. Specific instructions have been issued to prioritize and resolve the issues faced by women, farmers, and the vulnerable and marginalized sections of society.

During the review meeting, officials clarified that the purpose of these camps is not merely to collect applications, but to ensure their time-bound disposal. The SDM inspected the Block and Circle offices, as well as local educational institutions, to review their functioning and directed all concerned departments to work in close coordination with one another.

According to journalist Dilip Kumar Ojha, this initiative being launched by the administration in the Shahpur Block undoubtedly marks a significant step forward in the direction of good governance. The direct presence of the administration at the Panchayat level will not only ensure that the benefits of government schemes easily reach eligible beneficiaries, but the trust fostered between the administration and the public will also bring about positive changes in rural life.
