SASARAM--------------------------Rajeshwar Singh, a social activist from Pali, has appealed to the public to plant as many trees as possible for the sake of environmental conservation. He stated that trees are life-givers and play a crucial role in maintaining the balance of nature.
Rajeshwar Singh asked where living beings and humans would obtain life-sustaining oxygen if trees ceased to exist. He mentioned that he himself has planted numerous trees.
He noted that trees not only keep the environment clean but also contribute significantly to reducing pollution and regulating temperatures. A typical tree purifies the atmosphere by absorbing large quantities of dust and carbon dioxide throughout the year. Additionally, a large tree lowers the temperature of its surrounding area, providing relief to people during the summer heat.
Rajeshwar Singh remarked that trees and plants do not discriminate; they provide oxygen, shade, fruit, and a clean environment equally to all living beings. Indiscriminate felling of trees is the primary cause of rising temperatures and climate change today.
He warned that if trees are not conserved and large-scale plantation drives are not undertaken in time, future generations will have to face a severe environmental crisis.
In conclusion, he appealed to all citizens, saying, "Every individual must plant at least one sapling in their lifetime and take care of it." "This is our true responsibility towards nature and future generations."
